Harp Isles Farming Guide

Pick up the materials your Smelter or Forging Shrine accepts, smelt or offer them there, then finish the run: a Smelter does not drop the result into your bag on its own, so press Smelt again at 100% to collect it.

Choose the route

Recorded Foraging and Station Routes

Each route below was read off on-screen UI in this project's recorded footage.

1. What a route is actually for

Gathered material is feed for two stations: Smelters over the orange lava, and Forging Shrines in the broken white pods that fire a blue-green beacon. Each recorded Forging Shrine recipe cost 50 DNA on top of its two materials, so a route is only worth running if the station you are walking to accepts what you picked up.

2. Station output, not a points total

Turn in the objectives you can complete and smelt the results into Research Vials, DNA and Cores. Vial production comes from Smelters and Forging Shrines rather than from a points total you accumulate in the background.

3. Carry what the hotbar holds

The creature hotbar in recorded footage has three slots, which is why two short loops back to a station beat one full tour of the island. The recorded material table, with a timestamp for each pick-up, is on the Items, Materials & Recipes page.

Repeatable loop

Foraging Routine Execution

  1. 1

    1. Find the station you are heading to

Smelters sit over orange lava and fire a red-orange beacon. Forging Shrines are the broken white pods firing a blue-green beacon.

  2. 2

    2. Pick up only materials that station takes

The recorded recipes pair two materials each, so two matching pick-ups are worth more than a bag full of anything. Recorded spots include Moss on ground piles, Tar at the black pit near the Old Faithful landmark and Silk below the plateau crystal cave.

  3. 3

    3. Run a short loop, not the whole island

Three hotbar slots is the recorded carrying limit, so plan the loop around one station rather than touring the map.

  4. 4

    4. Finish the run at the station

Smelter queues are shared across the map and do not complete into your bag by themselves. Come back at 100% and press Smelt again, or offer the pair at a Forging Shrine for the 50 DNA cost.

Foraging tips

Avoid Common Foraging Mistakes

Walking away before the Smelter finishes

Smelting does not finish into your bag on its own. The recorded Smelter needs you back at 100% to press Smelt again, and its queue is shared with every other Smelter on the map.

Reading a Forging Shrine recipe as free

Each recorded Forging Shrine recipe was shown costing 50 DNA on top of the two materials, so a pair you cannot pay for is not a route.

Waiting on a respawn timer

No recording in this project shows a material respawn timer, and one material — the Deathcap Mushroom — is reported not to respawn on the same server at all. Move on to another recorded spot instead of camping one.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common botanical farming questions.

What is the fastest way to get Research Vials in Harp Isles?

Smelt the pairs the recorded recipes use. One Angel Fern Leaf plus one Plant Dart showed Research Vial ×5 with 1200s on the timer, and one Healing Salve plus one Plant Dart showed an Advanced Research Vial with 400s. The Smelter runs on its own cooldown while the Forging Shrine completes each offering instantly for a fixed DNA cost, so pair a long route with one and a short one with the other.

How do you get DNA from farming in Harp Isles?

Recorded footage shows one Obsidian plus one Deathcap Mushroom smelting into DNA ×450, and the Ashes Awakening event missions shown paying 750–2500 DNA each. Both are readings from one client build, so read the recipe timer on your own Smelter screen before you commit the materials.

Which specimen is best for resource farming?

This page does not rank the launch specimens for gathering, because no recording in this project reads two creatures' speed and stamina side by side. Read the speed and stamina rows on your own creature's panel before you pick one to run a route.

How fast do foraging materials respawn?

No respawn timer for any material appears in this project's recordings, so this page does not quote one. The Deathcap Mushroom is a separate case: it was recorded as reported not to respawn on the server it was taken from.

Do gathered crafting materials stay in my inventory after logging out?

No recording in this project follows a creature pouch through a log-out, so this page makes no claim about it. Spend or offer what you gather in the same session until your own account shows otherwise.
