Harp Isles Progression Guide

Progress by reading your creature's own panel: the growth timer tells you how long this specimen takes, the status ring tells you what your current condition is worth, and the research tabs tell you what a vial buys. Smelt the vials you can actually make, cover the Survival and Growth nodes the recordings show, and treat a copied priority order as a claim rather than a reading.

Progression map

Advance Stage by Stage

Follow the panel readings that mark each stretch of a creature's growth, from a first session through to a finished form.

  1. Stage 1

    1. Read the panel before you leave the spawn

Your creature page prints Category, diet, growth time, weight, and the Health, Armor, Stamina, Food, Water and Oxygen stats. That is the number set worth planning around, and it is different for every specimen and subspecies.

  2. Stage 2

    2. Farm the missions you can actually reach

The mission board recorded on 2026-09-07 splits into Daily, Regional, Weekly and Monthly. Gather the materials your station accepts and smelt them into Research Vials. Basic and Advanced Vials are separate holdings, so check which tier your current creature accepts before you spend a session on one route.

  3. Stage 3

    3. Specialize your Techtree build

Allocate vials into the Survival tab for scout specimens or into Combat for brawlers. The panel names the tabs; use those names rather than a priority order copied from a guide. An extra research slot was recorded at 500 DNA for three uses, and a research speed-up to 2x at 1200 DNA.

  4. Stage 4

    4. Plan the last stretch around feeding

Higher tiers take a long sitting, not a short one: panels captured on 2026-09-13 showed 01H 13M 31S for Helezhura and 01H 23M for its Apex form. Keep the status ring up for the growth bonus it prints, and bank Cores for a Revive Vial if you expect to be hunted while you wait.

Decision basis

Core Progression Pillars

1. The stages are the creature's own panel

A specimen grows from its starter form toward an Apex form, and the panel prints two readings for it: a Category tier (CAT 1 to the higher tiers the recordings captured) and a growth timer shown as an hours/minutes/seconds countdown that only runs while the creature is alive. This page will not put percentage bands on those stages, because no recorded panel displays growth as a percentage of a stage.

2. Techtree branch sequencing

Spend the Research Vials you can actually smelt, read the tab names on your own panel before committing, and leave expensive late-game Combat nodes until the survival tabs are covered. Each node recorded so far shows three levels, and a species and each of its subspecies carry their own tree.

3. Packs and nesting are separate systems

The menu wheel recorded on 2026-09-07 opens Nesting, Avatar Data, Actions, Missions, Inventory and Packs as six separate entries, so grouping up is an in-game action rather than an automatic effect of reaching a stage. What a pack changes on the panel is not something this project has measured.

Recovery

Overcome Progression Roadblocks

Growth feeling slow?

Check the status tooltip on your own panel rather than a remembered multiplier. The reading captured for this site on 2026-09-07 listed Growth +13% from a full status ring, and the ring also cuts Hunger and Thirst drain by 7% each, which is what keeps you out of the open looking for food.

Short on Research Vials for the skill tree?

Two routes are recorded: smelt 1 Angel Fern Leaf with 1 Plant Dart for 5 Research Vials, or buy 1 vial for 350 DNA in the in-game shop. Cores are the alternative currency — an Obsidian plus a Flytrap Leaf was recorded smelting into 3 Cores.

Repeatedly dying before you finish growing?

Dying costs the creature. A Revive Vial was recorded in the shop at 15 Cores, and the community wiki read on 2026-10-01 warns that hostile plants, tar pits, lava and the marked pool damage a creature with no opponent present.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Key answers for specimen growth and Techtree progression.

What is the optimal progression order in Harp Isles?

Read your creature's panel first, smelt the Research Vials the stations accept, cover the recorded Survival and Growth nodes before reaching for Combat, and keep the status ring high so the growth timer runs at the rate your own tooltip shows.

How long does full growth take?

It is printed per creature, so the honest answer is your own growth timer. For scale, the panels captured for this project on 2026-09-13 showed 01H 13M 31S for Helezhura and 01H 23M for its Apex form — this site publishes no general minute range and this page previously quoted one it could not source.

What Techtree branch scales best into the late game?

The recorded tabs are Growth, Combat, Survival and Health, and each node shows three levels. Which one scales best is a claim this site has not measured: node effects are not shown in the recordings this page is built from, so confirm the current numbers on your own panel.

Do weather events stop you making progress?

The community weather list files disasters inside the reward loop rather than only as a hazard — its mission rows ask for 10 disasters a week and 50 a month. Whether growth keeps ticking during a storm is not something recorded here, so check the growth timer on your own panel next time one hits.
