HarpIsles
First creature

Harp Isles starters — what you actually choose before your first spawn

You are not handed a species. The tutorial asks you to drag one of three diet strands into a research port, and the creature is picked afterwards on a Fill Tank screen sorted by Category. This page shows that screen as a recording from 2026-09-07 captured it, the five Category 1 rows that were readable, and one full stat panel so you can compare before you press Create Tank.

Checked 2026-10-26Frame-read from one recording5 Category 1 avatars read

Last checked: 2026-10-26Starting choice: a diet strand, then a Category 1 avatar on the Fill Tank list

Two choices, in a fixed order. First the tutorial says “We have prepared 3 diet strands for you. Choose one and drag it to the research port” over a green, a blue and a red vial. Then the tank screen opens with a FILL TANK column, and the avatar list behind it carries Carnivore, Herbivore and Omnivore buttons plus a search field, with every row tagged by its Category in ascending order.

Five Category 1 rows were readable as that list scrolled: Cyntoli, Blorp, Divum’ Turba, Ecus’ Laetus and Sentis’ Areni. One of them, Blorp, had its full statistics panel open on screen — Health 900, Weight 600lbs, Armor 0, Stamina 400, Growth Time 09M 48S — which is the only Category 1 stat line this project has read.

The recording is Late Kate’s “Ultimate Guide! | Harp Isles”, uploaded 2026-09-07. Its account already held 10 of 12 tanks, so use it to learn the order of the screens and the fields the panel prints — not as a list of what your own account will offer.

The order

Five steps, and what each screen asks for

The recording runs these in sequence. Nothing here is a preference; it is what the game puts in front of you before your first creature exists.

  1. 01

Drag one of the three diet strands

The tutorial puts a green, a blue and a red strand on the bench and says “We have prepared 3 diet strands for you. Choose one and drag it to the research port.” Nothing on that screen labels which strand is which diet, so the colour on the vial is all you have to go on at that moment.

  2. 02

Open the tank screen and press Fill Tank

The middle column reads FILL TANK (CLICK TO SELECT). Either side of it sits an adult tank carrying a padlock and a Store label — Blorp Clastus on the left, Sentis' Areni on the right in this recording — so the empty middle column is the only thing a new creature can go into.

  3. 03

Narrow the avatar list before scrolling it

The list header carries three diet buttons — Carnivore, Herbivore, Omnivore — plus a SEARCH field and a Return button. Pressing the diet you want is faster than scrolling, because each row is labelled with a Category badge and nothing else about the creature.

  4. 04

Read the statistics panel, not the card

Selecting a row loads a STATISTICS panel for that creature while the bottom card keeps only its Category, weight and shard counter. The panel is where Health, Weight, Armor, Stamina, Food, Water, Oxygen, Diet, Class and Growth Time are printed together.

  5. 05

    Press Create Tank

Create Tank sits beside Research on the bottom card, with the creature's Category, weight and Main Species tag to their left. The recording presses Create Tank here, so this page stops at the point where the creature exists and the growth timer starts.

The list

The five Category 1 rows that were readable

Category 1 is the entry tier, so these are the names closest to a starter set. Each card says how much of the row was actually read — a name on a list is not the same evidence as an open stat panel.

Cyntoli

CAT 1

First row of the list at 00:48, above Blorp.

Only its Category badge and thumbnail were read; its statistics panel was not opened in this recording.

Blorp

CAT 1

Second row, and the row this recording selected.

Full statistics panel read — the one stat block on this page with real numbers behind it.

Divum' Turba

CAT 1

Third row at 00:48, still on screen at 00:56.

Category badge read only. Player comments elsewhere call its Apex a boss-damage pick; nothing on this screen supports that.

Ecus' Laetus

CAT 1

First row after the list scrolled at 00:56, selected at 01:04.

Its bottom card read 1 CAT and 1100lbs. Its growth timer and stat line were not shown.

Sentis' Areni

CAT 1

Last Category 1 row at 00:56, immediately above the Category 2 block.

Category badge read only. The official event text names a Sentis'Areni Fierus subspecies, which is a different form from this row.

What this list is not: it is not the full roster, and it is not proof of what a new account can create. A Category 2 row followed directly below Sentis’ Areni, so rows continue past this tier, and the recording’s account was already 10 tanks deep.

The panel

What Blorp prints before you press Create Tank

Selecting a row loads two blocks. The first is fixed data; the second is the stat line you compare across rows. Both were readable at 640×360.

The same screen offers Skill Tree and Avatar Profile buttons, so the tree and the full profile are reachable before the tank exists.

Use it as a template, not a table. Only Blorp’s panel was open long enough to read. Open the same panel on the creature you are considering and compare Health, Weight, Armor and Growth Time against these numbers — this page has no second Category 1 stat line, and will not invent one.

Tank slots

Twelve slots, and the counter decides whether Create Tank works

The Stored Tanks panel is the other half of the starting decision: how many creatures you are allowed to keep at once.

12 slots, and the counter tells you where you are

The Stored Tanks panel prints “Stored Tanks — 10/12” in the same block as the purchase button, and the same panel read 11/12 fifteen seconds later. That counter, not the number of creatures you can see, is what tells you whether another tank will fit.

950 buys one slot, and the panel names a free route

The button reads Purchase — 950 with the gold helix icon this project reads as DNA on other panels. Its description says space “can also be accomplished by leveling”, and the recording never shows which level pays out, so the paid route is the only one with a number attached.

The Slots panel is the list you actually manage

It shows each stored creature with a remaining growth timer — 00M 46S and 00M 59S on two Cyntoli Vitalis entries — and Play, Delete and Swap buttons per row, plus an [AVAILABLE TANK] Create Tank block on any empty slot.

Every stored creature carries its own timer

Two Cyntoli Vitalis entries showed different remaining times at the same moment — 00M 46S and 00M 59S — and one of them was tagged 3/3. Whether a stored tank's timer keeps running while you play another creature was not shown, so do not plan a rotation around that guess.

Three things this page corrects

All three were stated on this site before the recording was frame-read. They are listed together so the change is visible rather than quietly edited away.

This site said you spawn as Ecus.

The beginner guide's first step assumed an Ecus spawn. The recording shows a tutorial that offers three diet strands and then a Fill Tank list on which Ecus' Laetus is one of several Category 1 rows, so the species is a choice rather than a starting condition. The beginner guide has been corrected and points here for the choice itself.

This site said no growth timer had been read for Blorp.

Blorp's statistics panel prints Growth Time 09M 48S. That figure is now stated, with its date and the creature it belongs to, instead of the page saying the field was never read.

This site said sources disagreed on which creatures are free starters.

The disagreement is narrower than that. The tutorial's first choice is a diet strand, the avatar list is sorted by Category with diet filters on top, and Category 1 is the entry tier. Which of those rows a brand-new account can create is still not established.

Scope

What this page does not claim

One recording, one account, one build. These are the limits that change what you should take from it.

After the tank exists

The choice here only decides what you load in as. Growth timers, hazard coverage, research order and the shard counter are separate problems with their own pages.

FAQ

Starter questions players actually ask

What is the Harp Isles starter creature?

There is no single fixed starter in the recording this page is built from. The tutorial opens by offering three diet strands, and the avatar itself is chosen afterwards on the Fill Tank screen, where the list is filtered by Carnivore, Herbivore or Omnivore and each row carries a Category badge. Category 1 is the entry tier, so the five Category 1 names read on that list — Cyntoli, Blorp, Divum' Turba, Ecus' Laetus and Sentis' Areni — are the closest thing to a starter set the footage shows.

Do I pick a creature or a diet at the start of Harp Isles?

Both, in that order. The tutorial line reads “We have prepared 3 diet strands for you. Choose one and drag it to the research port”, with a green, a blue and a red vial on the bench. The tank screen comes after that. The recording does not show whether the strand you drag limits which avatars appear, so treat it as a tutorial step you cannot skip rather than as a locked class.

How many Category 1 creatures can I choose from?

At least five. Five Category 1 rows were readable as the list scrolled — Cyntoli, Blorp, Divum' Turba, Ecus' Laetus and Sentis' Areni — and a Category 2 row followed below them, so the list is not Category 1 only. The recording is from one existing account holding 10 of 12 tanks, so it does not prove what a brand-new account sees.

How long does a starter take to grow?

Blorp's statistics panel printed a growth time of 09M 48S, and Blorp is Category 1 with an Omnivore diet and a Class line of Combat Build. That is the only growth time this page has read for a Category 1 creature. Open your own avatar's statistics panel before you press Create Tank and compare the same field, because the panel is the only place the number is stated for the creature in front of you.

How many tanks do I get, and what does an extra one cost?

The counter read Stored Tanks — 10/12 on the same account, and the Stored Tanks panel sells one more slot for 950 while its own description says more space “can also be accomplished by leveling”. The recording never shows the level a slot unlocks at, so treat 12 as that account's ceiling and leveling as the free route rather than a fixed rule.

Can I change my mind after creating a tank?

The stored-tank list gives every creature a Swap button next to a Play, an Edit and a Delete, and the Slots panel offers Create Tank on an empty slot, so the choice is not one-and-done. What a Swap costs, and whether a deleted creature can be recovered, were not shown in this recording; the shop is where a Revive Vial is sold, so check that price before deleting anything.
